Birding at Kaeng Krachan National Park - 18/1/2009

Another Lucky Day at Kaeng Krachan
Today we only have a very short windows to try out for more lifers. We went to the spot where about 80% chance this pheasant would come.

Birds do not understand any appointment. Back home I lives in the environment of Large Tailed Nightjar, Savanah Nightjar sometimes I noticed them perched on my telephone pole and wire. The presence also is quite sure but.. But there are days I hear not a single call of them..

Anyway today maybe a 20% chances that our wish do not come true.. We set up our equipments and waited a silence for a while and WOOOOW...LIFERS.

I tried alot of setting to harvest these photo as I don't use flash.

A flock of Greater-Necklaced Laughingthrush also appear.

Sooty-Headed Bulbul

Never encounter the presence of the Greater-Racket Tailed Drongo so near..

A treeshew is also presence...

An Indian Roller that was sun-bathing.

I have a very enjoyable birding trip and I wish to thank all of your company. Not to forget also Khun Chai, A & B resort staff, Khun Piak and Kun Eek..

Khun Eek if happen you are in Malaysia my hse is open for you.. Sometimes the patch of forest behind my house can do birding also...

Hi.

Thank you for posting bird photos and telling info about Kaeng Krachan NP, esp. the map in English and birding area around Bang Krang Camp.

I"ll probably go there in August '09 for three days, staying at Bang Krang Camp.
